2016 BMW Alpina B4 Biturbo Convertible

It’s good to be the BMW 4 Series these days. It’s only been a few months since the model was released and already, it’s getting a lot of attention from racing teams and aftermarket companies.
So it’s no surprise that theGeneva Motor Show was the scene for some tuners to showcase their first offerings for the 4 Series. Technically, BMW tuner extraordinaire Alpina already presented its program for the BMW 4 Series Coupe at the Tokyo Motor Show last year.
But nobody said anything about the 4 Series Convertible , right?
is, ladies and gentlemen: the Alpina B4 Biturbo Convertible.
Befitting its philosophy of tuning sophistication, Alpine put in serious work on the 4 Series Convertible, turning it into one of its own to go with its distinctive B4 Bi-Turbo name.
This all looks and sounds pretty impressive to us, but that’s no shock from Alpina.

2016 BMW M4 DTM

BMW has a storied history of taking the M3 racing. For decades, the pumped up Bimmer has dominated race tracks in the hands of privateers and factory-backed guises. Of course, the race-prepped M3 has always been based on the Coupe and the M3 Coupe no longer exists. What is BMW to do? They turn their new M4 into a race car, of course.

Meet the BMW M4 DTM.
Based on BMW’s new high-performance coupe, the M4 DTM will be the tool the Bavarian use to challenge for the world championship in the German Touring Car Championships. The new machine is powered by a high-revving V-8 that produces 480 horsepower. The actual engine is capable of producing much more power, but the DTM adds air-restrictor regulations to help keep the performance envelope of the cars close.
Like the previous M3 DTM, the new M4 is fitted with an extreme body kit with flared fenders and plenty of downforce. BMW had a great season when they returned to racing with the M3 two years ago. Now with that experience under their belt, the new car should be nearly unstoppable on the track.

2004 BMW M3 CSL

BMW used the CSL name for the first time back in 1972 when it unveiled the 3.0CSL - a special version of the Six CS (E9) developed to race the European Touring Car Championship. In 2004, that named was used once again, but this time on a road-going M3 CSL (Coupé Sport Leichtbau).

The CSL version was about 240 pounds lighter than a regular M3, thanks to the use of many weight-saving technologies inspired by Formula 1 cars. The model also boasted 17 extra horses under the hood than a standard M3 and thanks to its front-engine, rear-drive layout and the SMG-II gearbox, it delivered the purest driving dynamics of any BMW of the time.

The M3 CSL was limited to only 1,400 units and was offered only in two exterior colors: Silver Grey Metallic and Black Sapphire Metallic. The model never made it to the U.S. market and in the British market it was considered a very expensive car, as it was about £20,000 ($32,000 at the current exchange rates) more expensive than a standard M3.

BMW M3 Coupe Snow White by Mode Carbon 2016

So what do cars and Snow White have in common? Absolutely nothing, right? Well, not according to Miami based tuner Mode Carbon who unveiled a pretty cool Snow White package for the BMW m3Coupe. Mode Carbon’s Show White has been upgraded on both the exterior and the interior, but that’s not all. Carbon Mode also slapped a few upgrades under the hood.
For the exterior, the tuner added a carbon fiber GTS front spoiler, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, and a set of gloss black Competition wheels. As a final touch, the tuner also added a Vorsteiner bootlid - a reminder of the original CSL. The Bimmer’s interior has been modified with some help from Sonic MS, which provided a Performance Steering wheel with Verstrabe aluminum extended DCT shifter paddles, to bring the car back to its pure racing roots.
Under the hood, the stock 414-horsepower, V-8 engine has received a Dinan ECU tune in order to increase the output level a little bit — as if 414 ponies isn’t enough already. Unfortunately, Carbon Mode has yet to reveal just how many horses the ECU tune unleashed. There is also a new set of KW sleeves, wider competition wheels, and Michelin SS tires.

BMW 1-Series M Coupe by A-workx 2016

Another day, another tuning package for the coveted BMW 1-Series M CoupE . This tiny sports coupe has taken the tuning world by storm and German tuner A-workx is its next victim.

The new tuning package for BMW babes model comes packed with a bunch of upgrades, none more impressive than the engine modification. The 1-Series M Coupe’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six has been revamped with a large intercooler, a high performance, modified oil cooler, engine oil and mapping, a new air filter, and a new exhaust system from Akrapovic. These changes bump the output from the standard 335 HP at 5,900 rpm and 332 lb-ft of torque from 1,500 rpm to 4,500 rpm to 450 HP and 405 lb-ft of torque.

The package also includes a new KW suspension system to handle the added power and a new set of 19" ultra-light forged wheels that are 33 lbs lighter than the standard wheels to increase performance. There is also a modified braking system that includes sport brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, and racing brake fluid. The last piece of the puzzle is a new carbon fiber roof that is about 12 lbs lighter than the standard and helps lower the center of gravity of the vehicle.

BMW 335i by H&R Springs 2016

You won’t see as many European cars on the SEMA show floor as their American counterparts, but that doesn’t mean that the cupboard is dry as far as Euro representation is concerned. One German model that’s making the trip to Vegas is the BMW 335i and it’s doing so by way of H&R Springs.
H&R Springs have really perfected the craft of building programs that may not look fancy from the outside, but completely overwhelm the rider once he straps on and goes for a ride in one of them.
That’s what they managed to accomplish with their set-up of this BMW 335i. There’s nothing on the outside that makes you think somebody did work on it, but once you get inside and feel the improved handling dynamics of the car, you’ll be convinced that this car was provided with an upgrade.
That’s the beauty of H&R Springs. They’re not about the style; they’re about the substance.

Cheap Sports Cars for 2012

01. 2012 BMW M3 - $59,900

The 2012 BMW M3 is priced at $59,900 which it the upper end of the cheap sports car scale.  But the amount of performance that comes from the M3 coupe is extraordinary.  Can you think of any one car that has been the measuring stick of both performance and luxury for so many years.  Month after month, year after year, the M3 reigns supreme in almost any contest it enters.  Power comes via a high performance 4.0L V-8 engine that produces 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.  While not the most power on the list of cheap sports cars; the 2012 BMW M3 does has a few tricks up its sleeve.  With a high 8400 RPM redline the M3 can run 0-60 MPH in 4.8 seconds.  The Double Clutch Gearbox is a 7-speed transmission that is operated via paddle shifters.   The 2012 BMW M3 features an M Dynamic Mode which tweaks the response of the car in a more aggressive manner.  Good luck finding the limits of this car!  The 2012 BMW M3 is so poised and confident it can handle anything you throw its way.  Fuel economy does suffer though for all this performance.  The M3 gets 14 MPG in the city and 20 MPG on the highway.  Beyond the performance of the M3; you can enjoy tons of comfort, convenience, and technology all rolled into one modern cheap sports car.
