Koenigsegg One:1 Supercar Comes With Cloud Connectivity And Custom App

These days developing the world’s premier supercar takes a lot more than simply ensuring you have the quickest or highest top speed or most outrageous styling. Today, supercar brands need high-tech interfaces and connectivity options just as much as they need horsepower, and one of the most advanced in this field is Sweden’s Koenigsegg.

Koenigsegg is presenting at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show this week its limited edition One:1 supercar, whose 1,340-horsepower output makes it the most powerful production car on the planet and potentially the fastest too. But the One:1 isn’t all about brute power as it also has a pretty sophisticated suite of electronic goodies.
Working together with fellow Swedish firm Telenor Conne xion, Koenigsegg is offering with its new One:1 cloud services, and an app for smartphones and tablets. The various services will enable owners to remotely track their car, its fuel level and battery status as well as access the latest software.

Koenigsegg, too, will be able to access the cars remotely, allowing it to optimize settings, install new software and monitor vehicle health all from its headquarters in Ängelholm, Sweden.
Some specific services, which are destined to be offered with future Koenigsegg models in addition to the new One:1, enables owners to get direct access to statistics such as recent runs, average speed, top speed, lap time, g force etc. They can also adjust the height of the rear wing, the firmness of the suspension, adjust the temperature, and even open the doors and windows.
“Our target market is demanding global customers who want the best-of-the-best,” Koenigsegg CEO and founder Christian von Koenigsegg said in a statement. “Telenor Connexion was the obvious choice for connecting our cars, with their broad and extensive experience in connected automotive solutions.”
